Released in mid-June 1995 to coincide with the release of the film, Fleer’s Fleer Ultra Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie trading card series is the largest single card series to date.
The series consists of a basic set of 150 cards (each printed on superior quality stock with foil-stamping and double-sided UV coating) as well as three subsets:
- 24 Power Pop-Ups™ - unique free-standing cards created especially for this set (inserted 1:1 pack)
- 12 Holograms (randomly inserted 1:4 regular packs)
- 8 Holofoils (randomly inserted 1:18 regular packs)
Fleer also ran a mail-order campaign to receive a promotional card celebrating the film’s premiere. Each promo card featured two frames from an actual 35mm release copy of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.
